Overview
Our customer is a US-based company providing family-friendly products and services. They offer an online Digital Citizenship program for schools, businesses, athletics, churches, and Greek organizations.
Challenges
- The client could not use Moodle's in-house features, and customization was complex.
- Role management challenges: The client expected advanced role management, which was not possible in Moodle.
- Lack of scalability to have the ability to support multiple products within the same platform.
Our Approach
- KnackForge helped the client to reduce costs without compromising on functionality. To implement this, we chose Laravel for our backend process, which provides an excellent interface to the admins. And opted for Angular in the frontend which helped us build an interactive and dynamic web app.
- We automated the process where the e-learners can get certificates and badges through the 'learning or quiz section.' This added value to their curriculum.
Result
- Now the application has Schools, athletes, Businesses, and many other products within the same platform.
- We have onboarded 240+ school districts with over 800k active users.
- Engagement summaries, grade books, certificates, badges, etc., are tailored to fit every product.
- Resources such as reading materials & videos are made available according to the roles.
Overview
Our customer is a US-based class management software company headquartered in Longview, Texas. With thousands of customers worldwide, they deliver robust, reliable, and effective class management software for multiple industries, including gymnastics, cheer, swimming, dance, and many more.
Challenges
- We had to modernize the existing legacy technology, AWS cloud architecture, through serverless and Dockerization with the overall goal of seamless scalability at optimal cost.
- We managed two AMIs - one for their frontend servers and the other for the backend jobs processing.
- Deployments also required local scripts, creating dependency on a few people to handle all the deployments.
Our Approach
- We modernized the current legacy software with the latest technology by moving the modules into chunks without disturbing the live application.
- Recovery scenarios were created for a calendar module that had an issue loading for all users.
Result
- Anyone can initiate deployment with the whole process automated. Overall, things were made much easier for the development team
- Secure API access was provided to third-party consumers with literally no changes required on the code.
Overview
Our customer is a Switzerland-based multi-lingual online training platform company that helps people develop their skills and improve their career opportunities. It specializes in finance, accounting, and HR skills training.
Challenges
- The goal was to help the customer launch new features and improve site performance and security.
- The site's native language was not English. This was a minor challenge we overcame through an administrative interface to let the customer directly update translations for new functionalities.
Our Approach
- With our AWS expertise, we made sure we delivered the site with optimal performance metrics. New feature implementation was made sure not to impact the existing functionalities.
Result
- The customer expanded to broader markets with better features, and KnackForge was happy to be part of their growth story.
